We work with a number of photographers from across the UK and internationally for our photography tours and workshops. All our photographers are hand picked by Greg, the founder of The Photographic Adventure Company Ltd.
All photographers that work for The Photographic Adventure Company share the vision of providing world class and professional tuition that aligns with our luxury and high-end ethos. Our guests are the most important aspect of every one of our photography tours and this covers everything from the hotels we use, to the restaurants we eat at, to the standard of our photography tuition.
All the photographers that we use are passionate about photography tuition and passing on their years of knowledge and experience. They are passionate about photography and the process of creating stunning images that you can be proud of. Our ethos at The Photographic Adventure Company is not to tell you what to photograph. We are here to guide and encourage you to find your own style, your own voice and to equip you with the confidence and knowledge to photograph the subjects that you would like too.

Helen Iles
Helen Iles leads the photography on our Snowdonia (Eryri) tours. Helen is a photographer and also a mountain guide.
Helen was born and brought up in southern Eryri, Snowdonia. She is an active member of South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team. Combining her experience of photography with her Mountain Leader qualifications, Helen loves assisting people to explore and photograph the amazing scenery Eryri has to offer. Being Welsh speaking, she loves to weave local tales and legends of bygone years to bring the landscape alive.
Dan Bathie
Dan Bathie is an award winning photographer with over 14 years of experience working in motorsport.
Dan has won multiple awards, including Motorsport UK Young Motorsport Photographer of the Year 2016 along with Motorsport Photographer of the Year 2016 & 2021.
Dan has worked as a photographer covering multiple formats of motorsport including F1, Le Mans, WEC, Formula E, WRC, Indycar, IMSA and others.
Dan has also worked for a host of prestigious clients like Porsche, McLaren, Andretti and BMW and is incredibly knowledgeable about all things Motorsport.
Mike Widdowson
Mike Widdowson is a very experienced motorsport photographer, covering events trackside for 10 years.
Mike has covered from Grass root National series all the way up to World Endurance Championship races around the world.
Sports cars is really Mike’s speciality, where he really looks to bring the viewer in and put them beside him with his images and live the race through his eyes.
Mike has worked with clients such as McLaren, BMW, Aston Martin, as well as many other teams and drivers. These world leading brands have all worked with Mike over the years so it’s safe to say you will be able to learn a lot from Mike’s experience of photographing the world of motorsport and especially endurance racing, such as the Barcelona 24 Hour Race.

Dom Vincent
A strong passion for motorsport has led Dom down the path of creative motorsport photography.
Having worked with GT Report since 2020, he has progressed into an award winning photographer whilst developing a journalistic skillset in the process. This has led to further opportunities to work alongside teams and drivers where Dom has provided high-quality imagery in a timely manner.
In 2023, Dom won the Motorsport UK Young Photographer of The Year award.

Kate Hockenhull
Kate leads the photography on our Strasbourg and other travel photography tours.
Kate is a freelance travel photographer whose colourful style has been shaped by her background as the picture editor for The Sunday Times Travel magazine.
After years of studying other people's photographs, Kate branched out to develop her own style and, having now travelled to nearly 40 countries, has an extensive knowledge of her genre and a sharp eye for editorial travel photography. The world is a beautiful place and Kate feels extremely lucky that it's her job to capture as much of it as possible.
Dave Watts
Dave leads the photography on our East Anglia Photography Weekend. Dave is a part time professional photographer who has dedicated much of his time to capturing the beauty of the lesser-known areas of the Essex coast and countryside.
Dave has been on an exploration of the backwaters and lesser-known regions of the Essex coast. With a discerning eye for detail and composition, he unveils the unique character and often overlooked allure of these coastal landscapes.
Dave’s talent and skill have been recognised through various prestigious awards that he has received for his photography. His images have earned him accolades and commendations, including images featured in the renowned Landscape Photographer of the Year and Outdoor Photographer of the Year collections. These accomplishments reflect Dave’s ability to capture the essence of the natural world, evoking emotions and offering viewers a fresh perspective on familiar places.
Nigel Waters
Nigel leads the photography on our Malvern Hills Photography Weekend. Nigel is a Landscape Photographer based in Worcestershire specialising in capturing atmospheric landscape, seascape and nightscape images.
Nigel has a passion for capturing images that provoke emotion and feeling of this amazing world we live in but yet so many people take for granted. I don't like to think of myself having any particular style other than to keep my images natural without over editing to capture a moment in time as I see it.
Nigel has a love of the mountains, climbing and the great outdoors and this is what brought him closer to his photography.
